Adoption Update: Jeremiah Johnson & Bob Barker
Welcoming two cats into a home is always an adventure—and a journey! We’re happy to share a heartwarming update on Jeremiah Johnson and Bob Barker, who are settling into their new environment with patience, personality, and plenty of playtime.
🐱 Jeremiah Johnson: King of Boxes & Cat Trees
Jeremiah is embracing the comforts of indoor life in his own unique way. He’s especially drawn to boxes—the simpler, the better—and has claimed his cat tree as his personal lookout spot. Whether he’s perched up high or tucked into a cozy corner, Jeremiah is clearly finding his safe spaces and settling in at his own pace.
🧶 Bob Barker: String Enthusiast & Tunnel Explorer
Bob continues to show off his playful side! His absolute favorite toy? The strings he was sent home with—proof that sometimes the classics are unbeatable. He’s also become quite fond of his cat tunnel, where he can dart, hide, and pounce to his heart’s content. Bob is thriving with enrichment and showing great energy.
🏡 Adjusting to Life Together
While both cats are doing well individually—eating, sleeping, and exploring—they’re still working through their relationship with each other. For now, they’re being kept in separate rooms, as direct interactions have led to a few scuffles.
The good news? Progress is happening.
Their adopter is taking thoughtful steps to help them adjust, including setting up screen barriers so Jeremiah and Bob can see and smell each other safely without physical contact. This gradual introduction method is a fantastic way to build comfort and reduce tension over time.
💛 Looking Ahead
Every cat adjusts differently, and Jeremiah Johnson and Bob Barker are no exception. With continued patience, enrichment, and careful introductions, we’re hopeful these two will grow more comfortable together in the coming months.
For now, we’re celebrating the wins:
Healthy appetites ✅
Playful behavior ✅
Growing confidence in their new home ✅
We can’t wait to share more updates as their journey continues!
🐾 Thank you to their adopter for providing such a thoughtful and caring environment—and for keeping us updated on their progress!
